The parties held fruitful negotiations on the coalition of capabilities. They discussed issues of strengthening air defense, drones and artillery systems. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on Facebook on February 14.
According to him, the integrated air and missile defense coalition has already officially begun its work. 15 countries have already joined it, the leaders are Germany, France and the USA. This coalition is designed to strengthen Ukrainian air defense with missiles and systems.
The agenda also included issues of joint production of artillery systems and ammunition for them. There are already first results.
Umerov emphasized that the issue of transferring F16 fighters to the Ukrainian Armed Forces is on schedule within the framework of all agreements with partners.
The minister also said that interaction with partners on the issue of unmanned systems has been strengthened. Today, the drone coalition officially launched, and Sweden, Britain, Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia, the Netherlands, and Latvia joined it.
20 countries have already joined the demining coalition.
Special thanks to the United States and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who chaired the meeting. There is partner support. We are working to drive the Russians out of our territories both on land, in the sea and in the sky, Umerov noted.
Let us remind you that Great Britain and Norway led a new maritime coalition for Ukraine. These countries, in addition to the minesweepers Chernigov (M310) and Cherkasy (M311), will transfer 20 Viking amphibians and 23 high-speed boats to Ukraine.
