The President of Ukraine said that step by step “we will rid the Black Sea of Russian terrorist objects.”
President Vladimir Zelensky began his evening video address to the people of Ukraine on Wednesday, February 14, with thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the RUR for the brilliant operation in the Black Sea – the destruction of the Russian airborne landing force Caesar Kunikov.
“First of all. Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thanks to the soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate – Group 13 of the 9th Department. Today we added more security to the Black Sea. And more motivation for our people. And it is important. And step by step we will rid the Black Sea of Russian terrorist objects”, – assured the president.
In addition, Zelensky announced a meeting on one of the main issues of this war – our capabilities in Ukraine to counter Russian drones.
“Syrsky, Umerov, Sukharevsky, Shmigal, Kamyshin, Fedorov, Ermak, Korostelev, representatives of manufacturers, representatives of intelligence services were at the meeting. Heard a report on current developments. We are working on electronic warfare systems, electronic warfare, and air Defense systems. Already half of the existing available systems are Ukrainian-made, developed by our people,” the president clarified.
Zelensky emphasized: the main thing now is the effective use of these systems at the front.
The president is particularly focused on the next expansion of international coalitions, including the coalition of drones.
“The Netherlands, Germany, Estonia joined the UK, Latvia and Sweden. The foundation of the coalition is strong, the coalition is working. And now, by the way, there is a new meeting of Ramstein. Increasing joint production and accelerating supply of major drones, drones and air defense is a priority,” Zelensky said.
Summarizing the day’s results, the president recalled the Russians’ brutal shelling of Selidovoye, Donetsk region.
“Residential buildings, ordinary civilian buildings and a hospital were hit. A targeted Russian strike on the city. At the time of this strike, there were about 150 patients in the hospital, three people died – a mother with a small child and a woman preparing to become a mother. My condolences to the family and loved ones! The Russian state will certainly receive a response to this blow. We must win, we must achieve the goals of Ukraine. Security can only be obtained through strength and the strong,” Zelensky stressed.
We remind you that Ramstein 19 was supposed to be held in Brussels, but the personal meeting was canceled due to the hospitalization of Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin. He will participate in the meeting online.
