The task of the new stage in dealing with the enemy is to exhaust the enemy, explained the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military has entered a new phase in the war against the Russian Federation, which consists of exhausting the enemy. This is what the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky said in an interview with ZDF.
According to him, the main value for Ukraine is the life of military personnel, including those performing combat missions. Ukraine cannot behave like the Russian Federation and does not value the lives of Ukrainians.
“We cannot afford the attitude of the Russian military leaders when they engage in meat attack tactics,” the commander-in-chief said.
Syrsky also noted that according to the latest data, the losses of the invaders were 7-8 times higher than the Ukrainians. According to him, it is better to leave some positions and avoid the death of personnel.
“We have moved from offensive actions to conducting a defensive operation. The purpose of our operation is to exhaust the enemy, inflict maximum losses on him, using our fortifications, our advantages in technical terms , in terms of unmanned aircraft, electronic warfare, and maintaining ready defense lines,” said the commander-in-chief.
He added, this war increases the importance of technological development in the armed forces and the development of armed struggle.
“We are already seeing, and this is not news to us, the use of ground robotic platforms. Remotely controlled modules, which allow us to save the lives of military personnel. That is, the war is moving to a new phase,” said the military man.
As you know, on February 8, Zelensky removed Valery Zaluzhny from the post of commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and appointed Alexander Syrsky, who previously headed the Ground Forces, in his place.
In addition, Sergei Shaptal was removed from the post of Chief of the General Staff, and Anatoly Bargilevich, who was the former commander of the Troops Forces, was appointed instead.
While Lieutenant General Alexander Pavlyuk became the new commander of the Ground Forces.
