According to him, the search concerned the case of transferring “Kurchenko fuel” to the state. Pashinsky denies the information that he was served with a suspicion.
In April 2014, Pashinsky, like… The head of the Presidential Administration initiated the transfer of almost 100,000 tons of petroleum products from the Eastern European Fuel and Energy Company (SEPEC) group of companies to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Subsequently, it turned out that oil products from the oil depots of the owner of the SEPEC group of companies, Kurchenko, were transferred to a company owned by Pashinsky’s classmate, businessman Sergei Tishchenko.
Now Pashinsky is the head of the National Association of Defense Industry Enterprises. In February 2022, a company associated with Sergei Pashinsky became the largest private arms supplier to the government. However, the scheme for purchasing shells, balls and bombs involved the resale of weapons to a large number of intermediaries – this led to a significant increase in their price.
Pashinsky recalled that almost 100 thousand tons of oil products owned by oligarch Kurchenko were transferred to state oil operators in 2014. In 2015, Pashinsky appealed to the president with a request to cover the army’s fuel shortage with this fuel.
Since March 2022, I have been heading the National Association of Defense Industry Enterprises of Ukraine. There is no need to search or search me – during this time I have never left Ukraine. Enterprises participating in the Association produce drones, artillery, armored vehicles, ammunition, electronic warfare stations and radars. Every day we experience the death of loved ones, Russian bombings, and audits of the State Administration of Ukraine. As the chairman of the Association and coordinator of many defense programs, I have only a request to the investigators – do not tear me away from Kurchenko, please,” he commented.
