TCC reported that the man was declared fit for military service, sent to training centers, but the training centers refused to take him for training.
In the Poltava region, a man received 18 summonses, but avoided mobilization, even though he was declared fit for military service. Roman Istomin, head of public relations service of Poltava Regional TCC and JV, announced this at a briefing, writes RBC-Ukraine.
It is reported that the man received 18 summons and came to the TCC 16 times between June and November 2023, but due to his health, the military units refused to take him. Moreover, the last time he was taken to the military units personally by a lieutenant colonel, but each time he was sent back, and therefore he decided to ignore the last two calls. As a result, the court found the man guilty of evading conscription for military service during the mobilization and sentenced him to four years in prison, but the accused admitted his guilt and repented, so the court reduced his sentence and he was sentenced to two years probation.
“He pointed to chaos in the TCC system, saying that his military ID, which was kept by TCC employees, did not reflect all the information on his registration, and that TCC employees were constantly correcting the dates here instead of entering the correct information. All of the above influenced him and resulted in the fact that the last two times he actually did not appear on the summons,” said court materials.
TCC reported its version of events. Istomin said that the man was declared fit for military service, sent to training centers, but the training centers refused to take him for training.
“There is a psychologist, a doctor, who examines the people who come. When they say that the TCC picks up everyone: the “lame”, the sick… They choose the training center, you can’t bring anyone and push them to the training center. They had their own choice. And the citizen was talking there without the presence of the TCC representative, that is, we don’t know what he said there. Maybe he was feigning epilepsy, maybe he said he. that his blood pressure is constantly high. But in general, according to the current law, he is eligible for military service “There was only one decision that the training center refused to accept him. Therefore, he received a call for the next date,” said a TCC representative.
We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers has authorized territorial recruitment and social support centers (military registration and enlistment offices) to work at all times during mobilization and/or martial law.
