Earlier, Ukrainian military personnel and volunteers spoke about this on social networks.
Information for the publication was provided by two anonymous sources. In their opinion, the enemy acquired Starlinks through a third party. The Main Intelligence Directorate previously stated that they were checking the information.
SpaceX notes that the company does not conduct any business with Russia or its military, or with the UAE. At the same time, the company stated that it would deactivate terminals obtained without the appropriate license.
“Militarny”, with reference to engineer Oleg Kutkov, also writes that terminals are actively purchased and resold by Russian resellers, the purchase is made through third countries.
Actually, the terminals operate exclusively on the territory of Ukraine. In a 20 km zone on the front line, it is impossible to distinguish which side the terminal belongs to. This allows Russians at the front to also use Starlink.
Also in recent days there have been complaints about the defects of the military regarding the quality of Starlink communications. According to the engineer, this is a banal oversaturation of the area with terminals – SpaceX is already thinking about solving the problem.
