Advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podolyak, said that the country’s leadership expects from the new head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, an “audit” of military personnel, since out of 1 million mobilized, only up to 300 thousand people participated in real hostilities.

According to Podolyak on the air of the United News telethon, it is also necessary to clearly understand who and how will replace the military personnel who have been on the front line for almost 24 months.
Podolyak called the key thing that the Armed Forces of Ukraine must decide “who has what management decisions to make at different levels in the Armed Forces, taking into account the fact that there is a large galaxy of field generals working on the front line who have a slightly different view of what is needed to do, taking into account Russia’s resources.”
He also recalled the words of President Vladimir Zelensky during a video message on February 8, in which he announced the appointment of Syrsky as the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Zelensky said:
Now the Ukrainian Defense Forces are almost a million people called up to protect our state. As of today, most of them have not felt the front the way a minority actually fights on the front line.
According to Podolyak, the number of people involved in hostilities is 200-300 thousand.
The rest were very far from the war, but they are there. Therefore, it seems to me that one of Syrsky’s key tasks is to conduct an audit: where, who and how they are located. And after that, say what additional amount (is needed),” Podolyak noted.
In his opinion, mobilization should be constant, but not momentary, and Syrsky must determine where and how those who are already mobilized will be used.
