Alexander Pavlyuk is facing new tasks and challenges, says Rustem Umerov.
Lieutenant General Alexander Pavlyuk was dismissed from the position of First Deputy Minister of Defense. This was announced by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk on Telegram on Saturday, February 10.
“Alexander Alekseevich Pavlyuk was dismissed from the position of the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine due to transfer to another job,” the message said.
The Ministry of Defense confirmed Pavlyuk’s dismissal.
“Mr. General, it is an honor to work with you. The next tasks and challenges await. Together we will win,” Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said on this occasion.
Let’s recall that this week President Vladimir Zelensky dismissed Valery Zaluzhny from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Alexander Syrsky, who commanded the Ground Forces, was appointed in his place.
And the day before, Zelensky changed the order of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Anatoly Bargilevich was appointed as the new leader.
