This happened back in January, but it was only on February 9 that Mazurash decided to tell his voters about it. Mazurash entered the Rada in constituency No. 203 in the Chernivtsi region.
He cited the reason for leaving the SN that for four years the faction had not supported any of his legislative initiatives. Among the latter is his alternative mobilization bill.
However, Mazurash promised to remain in the SN faction in parliament in the future.
In September 2023, he introduced a bill to the Rada to amend the article on mobilization. It offered contract students free education in exchange for their voluntary agreement to serve in the army.
In October, Mazurash proposed a new public holiday for Ukraine – “Thanksgiving Day,” which should become a day off. The new holiday was proposed to be celebrated on October 22.
In December 2023, Mazurash proposed introducing daily prayer for the victory of Ukraine.
Among other scandalous bills, there is, for example, his bill No. 9566, which considered the possibility of entrusting housing departments and condominiums with the obligation to maintain military records and serve summonses and bill No. 7162-1 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the National Anthem of Ukraine,” which proposed to replace the anthem’s lyrics to “more positive”.
Mazurash is the record holder for the number of bills submitted, but the anti-record holder for the number of bills adopted.
