The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled more than 50 Russian attacks – General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces published operational information about the Russian invasion on Wednesday evening, February 7.

“At the beginning of the day, the enemy carried out several attacks on the territory of Ukraine, using different methods of air attacks: attacks by UAVs, cruise, ballistic and anti-aircraft guided missiles. In total, 64 air attack weapons of the enemy were used. : 20 attack UAV of Shahed-136/131 type, 29 cruise Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 missiles, four Kh-22 cruise missiles, three sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles, three Iskander-M ballistic missiles, five S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. As a result of combat work with fire weapons of the Air Force and Defense Forces, 44 air targets were destroyed: 26 Kh- 101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles, three Caliber cruise missiles, 15 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs,” the General Staff said in the evening report.

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult. During the day, 80 clashes took place.

“Information about the total number of missiles and air strikes, as well as shelling from multiple launch rocket systems, is clarified. As a result of the terrorist attack in Russia, unfortunately, there deaths and injuries to the civilian population, including children. Multi-storey and private houses were destroyed and damaged, as well as other civilian infrastructure in the regions of Kiev, Kharkov, Nikolaev and Lvov,” reported the General Staff.

In the direction of Kupyansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks near Sinkovka, Ivanovka, Kharkov region, where the enemy tried to break the defenses of our troops.

In the direction of Liman, our soldiers repelled seven attacks near Belogorivka, Lugansk region and Ternov, Torskoye, Donetsk region, where the enemy, with aviation support, unsuccessfully tried to destroy the defense of our troops.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces repelled five attacks in the areas of the settlements of Ivanovskoye and Kleschievka, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve the tactical situation.

In the Avdeevsky direction, our defenders repelled 25 attacks near Novobakhmutovka, Avdeevka and nine more attacks near Nevelskoye, Donetsk region, where the enemy, with aviation support, tried to destroy the defenses of our troops.

In the Maryinsky direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Pobeda and Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk region. Here the enemy tried 20 times to improve the tactical situation.

In the direction of Zaporozhye, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks west of Verbovoy and Rabotino, Zaporozhye region, where the enemy tried unsuccessfully to break through the defenses of our troops.

In the direction of Kherson, the enemy does not abandon the intention to dislodge the Ukrainian units from the bridges on the left bank of the Dnieper. During the day, three unsuccessful attempts were made to attack the positions of our troops.

During the day, Defense Forces aviation conducted strikes on six areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated.

Missile forces units carried out attacks on three areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, and two enemy ammunition depots were concentrated.

We remind you that tonight and this morning Russia has massively attacked Ukraine with missiles, having previously fired suicide bombs. Kyiv, Kharkov, Nikolaev and the western regions were subjected to enemy attacks.

Later, it was found that the air defense units shot down 44 out of 64 enemy targets.
