The Rada fired the Minister of Veterans Affairs

The relevant committee on social policy noted the unsatisfactory work of the ministry, said Yaroslav Zhelezyak.

The Verkhovna Rada dismissed Yulia Laputina as Minister of Veterans Affairs. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this on Telegram on Wednesday, February 7.

302 people’s representatives voted for Laputina’s resignation.

“Moreover, the relevant Committee on Social Policy mentioned the unsatisfactory work of the ministry. All the speakers, both from the authorities and the opposition, criticized the minister in their speeches,” wrote Zhelezyak .

We remind you that on February 5, the Verkhovna Rada received a statement from Yulia Laputina about her resignation from the post of Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. This was announced by Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.

In turn, President Vladimir Zelensky commented on Laputina’s resignation. According to him, it is “just a matter of management” and added that “reset measures” will continue not only in this direction.

As you know, in 1992, Yulia Laputina began serving in the Security Service of Ukraine. He is an investigator in a counterintelligence unit. Later, he served as a senior officer in the Special Operations Center A of the SBU. On March 25, 2020, she received the rank of major general and became the second female general in the history of Ukraine. In December 2020, he was appointed Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
