Then one of the guided bombs fell on a private yard, causing damage to the courtyard buildings, but, fortunately, did not explode. The bomb has now been destroyed. The press service of the State Emergency Service reported this today, February 5.
State Emergency Service sappers identified the unexploded ammunition as KAB-250, seized it and destroyed it at a specially prepared site outside the populated area in compliance with safety rules, the department noted.
It’s scary to even imagine the scale of the tragedy if this 250-kilogram heap of metal had exploded,” the State Emergency Service adds.
