Ukraine’s air superiority is of no small importance for countering Russian aggression, Defense Minister Kaisa Ollogren said.
The Netherlands has begun preparing six more F-16 fighters for Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Kaisa Ollongren in Twitter on Monday, February 5th.
“The Dutch Ministry of Defense is preparing to provide six more F-16 fighters to Ukraine,” the statement said.
According to him, the total number of F-16s being prepared for delivery to the Ukrainian army is now 24.
“Ukraine’s advantage in the air is important for countering Russian aggression,” the minister added.
We remind you that the Netherlands has promised 42 F-16 fighters for Ukraine. At the end of December, the government of the Netherlands decided to prepare the first 18 F-16 aircraft for transfer to our state.
Denmark will also provide 19 aircraft. The transfer of F-16s was also announced by Norway, which has about 60 aircraft.
