Presidential Press Secretary Sergei Nikiforov explained that in the interview of the President of Ukraine to the Italian TV channel RAI, there was no talk about the allegedly “stalemate” situation at the front.
Speaking about the results of the summer actions, Vladimir Zelensky said that their maritime part gave a positive result: Ukraine was able to restore an independent “grain corridor”, but the land part of the transactions ended in stagnation. We are talking specifically about counter-offensive actions in the south. This does not give the right to generally describe the situation at the front as a “stalemate.” Ukraine will continue the deoccupation of its territories,” Nikiforov wrote on his Facebook.
Let us recall that in a conversation with the Italian OM, Zelensky said that he was thinking about replacing Zaluzhny, and the country needs a reboot, that is, a change of leadership – and not only the military one.
He clarified that this meant the rotation of a number of government leaders, not in just the military sector.
A week ago, a number of Ukrainian media reported Zelensky’s likely dismissal of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The president’s press secretary denied this information. The American television channel CNN reported that Valery Zaluzhny would probably be fired by the end of the week. But it didn’t work out.
