On January 25, the Moscow City Court sentenced the Russian terrorist Igor Girkin (Strelkov) to four years in a general regime colony.
Russian terrorist Igor Girkin (Strelkov), who was found guilty of extremism by a Moscow court, may leave the colony for the front.
According to his attorney, Girkin repeatedly said he wanted to volunteer for the front. He noted that there was an appeal and cassation before the court’s decision, which sentenced the terrorist to four years in prison.
In addition, “there is always a possibility to get a conditional early release, there is always a chance to ask to go to the front,” believes the lawyer.
Let’s recall that on January 25, the Moscow City Court sentenced Girkin (Strelkov) to four years in a general regime colony. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities).
Before this, Girkin publicly criticized Vladimir Putin. Girkin is also on the international wanted list in the case of the downing of Malaysian Boeing flight MH17 in the air over Donbass. On November 17, 2022, the District Court of The Hague sentenced Girkin to life imprisonment, he and two other terrorists were found guilty of killing 298 times – each passenger and crew of MH17.
