According to Budanov, the mission was planned and carried out by operators of the special Ukrainian military intelligence drone unit “Group 13”.
A vessel of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was sunk by Ukrainian-made MAGURA V5 strike systems. There were six direct hits to the body,” he noted.
As a result of the damage received, the Ivanovets turned over on its stern and sank.
The attack took place more than 200 km from the nearest Ukrainian-controlled port. It is noted that Budanov refused to clarify the method of launching drones.
It should be added that the user of the social network X (formerly Twitter) D. Mojavensis, using the 128-second video of the destruction of the Ivanets published by the GUR, was able to determine the approximate location where the attack took place, as well as the time of its implementation.
The fact is that in the video you can see four stars – Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis), Tianguan (Zeta Tauri), Elnat (Beta Tauri) and Hassale (Iota Aurigae). The position of the stars in the sky made it possible to determine that the attack occurred at approximately 03:44 am.
Also in the video you can see the lights of coastal settlements, which the researcher identified as Morskoye and Maryinoye.
This helped determine the approximate location of the attack. According to the researcher’s estimates, the coordinates of the place where the missile boat sank are: 45.3106, 32.8153.
