The attack on the city on the night of February 2-3 was the third in a week and one of the most massive on energy infrastructure in a year.
Ukrenergo writes that in fact these were the first emergency shutdowns after air attacks since the beginning of the heating season.
Due to shelling and falling UAV debris, the equipment of the Ukrenergo NEC substation and two high-voltage overhead lines were damaged.
Electricity was restored on February 3, but due to network overload, the city and region were again partially de-energized. There were some areas of Krivoy Rog and five more communities without electricity – Shirokovskaya, Grechanopodovskaya, Karpovskaya, Novolatovskaya and Zelenodolskaya.
Also in Krivoy Rog, the mines lost power; more than a hundred miners were brought to the surface.
