The breakthrough occurred on the approaches to the Glukhiv community in the Sumy region on February 3.
Terrorist fighters stopped the Russian DRG, said the commander of the Joint Forces, Sergei Naev. According to him, the Russian DRG “has been thrown back far beyond the Ukrainian border.”
Naev wrote that at 18:20, on the approaches to the Glukhiv community, fighters from one of the strongholds noticed the movement of an armed group of ten people. Immediately, Ukrainian fighters began a shooting battle and called in anti-sabotage reserves from their battalion. Within a few minutes, mortars joined the battle, tightly covering the area where enemy forces were concentrated with fire.
Having suffered losses, the enemy changed tactics, dividing into two groups. One of which, under the cover of its artillery, evacuated the bodies of the dead and wounded. The second group attempted to bypass the strong point from the side flank. But by this time a counter-sabotage group had arrived at the battlefield.
The victory lasted for an hour and a half. Thanks to the skillful actions of the defenders of the Northern direction, the enemy was driven far beyond the Ukrainian border.
