Lithuania transferred another batch of weapons to Ukraine

The commitment to support Ukraine is not just solidarity, it is an investment in European security, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense said.

The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense transferred detonation systems and cartridges for anti-tank grenade launchers to Ukraine. About it today, February 2, reported press service of the ministry.

“Lithuania continues to provide tireless military support to Ukraine. Today, the Lithuanian army has delivered explosive systems and thousands of rounds of anti-tank grenade launchers. Our commitment to support Ukraine is not only unity, it is an investment in European security,” the statement said.

Earlier it was reported that the European Commission and Lithuania allocated 15.5 million euros for the construction of new bomb shelters for schools in hot spots in Ukraine. The European Commission provides 15 million euros. Lithuania provides an additional half a million euros and assumes responsibility for the implementation of the project.
