The SBU press center reported this today, February 2.
It is noted that we are talking about:
- apartment in the central part of Dnieper;
- land plot in the Kyiv region;
- two property complexes in temporarily occupied Crimea.
In particular, we are talking about the “Kirova” sanatorium and the “Estate of Princess Baryatinskaya” museum, where Tsarev lives, the SBU notes.
The total value of the seized real estate is about 0.5 billion hryvnia.
Blocking the assets of the defendant will prevent their re-registration to dummies in order to avoid further confiscation of property, the SBU notes.
According to the investigation, after the seizure of Crimea by Russia, Tsarev re-registered his Crimean sanatorium in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Thus, he regularly pays money from the recreational business to the budget of the aggressor country in the form of “taxes,” the intelligence service notes. – In addition, Tsarev entered into an agreement with a unit of the National Guard for the installation and maintenance of technical security equipment at two Crimean facilities of the ex-People’s Deputy.
According to the SBU, Tsarev pays money for such services directly to the bank accounts of the Russian occupation group, which is stationed on the temporarily occupied peninsula.
Based on the collected evidence, Security Service investigators informed Tsarev of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing of actions committed with the aim of changing the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine), the SBU notes.
Previously, the SBU qualified Tsarev’s criminal actions under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason committed under martial law).
Since the attacker is hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, comprehensive measures are ongoing to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine, the SBU adds.
