We are talking about an apartment on the Dnieper, a plot of land in the Kyiv region, as well as two property complexes in Crimea.
The court arrested the property of the former representative of the people from Party of Regions Oleg Tsarev with a total value of almost 500 million Hryvnia. The SBU reported this on Friday, February 2.
“We are talking about an apartment in the middle part of the Dnieper, a plot of land in the Kiev region, as well as two property complexes in temporarily occupied Crimea. In particular, we are talking about the Kirov sanatorium and the museum of the Estate of Princess Baryatinskaya, where Tsarev now lives,” said the message.
Blocking the assets of former people’s representatives will prevent their re-registration with dummies to prevent further confiscation of assets, the SBU said.
The investigation established that after the seizure of Crimea, Tsarev re-registered his sanatorium in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation. Now he regularly pays money from the entertainment business to the Russian budget in the form of “taxes.”
Tsarev also entered into an agreement with a division of the Russian Guard for the installation and maintenance of technical security equipment at two Crimean facilities. He pays money for services directly to the bank accounts of the work group in Crimea.
Based on the collected evidence, the SBU also informed Tsarev of suspicion under the article on financing actions taken with the aim of changing the territorial boundaries or state borders of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
We remind you that Oleg Tsarev was sentenced to 12 years in prison in absentia. He was found guilty of violating the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
The SBU also qualified his actions under the articles of high treason committed under martial law under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).
