Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nikolai Oleshchuk stated that “Ukrainian aviators will definitely return home to their native airfield” and thanked everyone “who joined the cleansing of Crimea from the Russian presence!” The corresponding message appeared on his Telegram channel.
Oleshchuk recalled that the 204th Sevastopol Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was previously based at the Belbek airfield.
The Crimean Wind Telegram channel, with reference to sources, published a map where it indicated the point of impact at the airfield.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense counted 17 “downed” aircraft guided missiles over the Black Sea and three more over the occupied Crimea. Allegedly, the air defense of the occupiers was working, and “debris” fell in the Lyubimovka area near the Belbek airfield. The enemy blamed Ukraine for the attack on occupied Crimea.
The so-called governor of occupied Crimea, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that “more than six missiles were shot down” in the Sevastopol area and added that buildings were damaged due to falling debris.
Let us remind you that on January 31, explosions were heard in Feodosia, Razdolny, Gvardeysky, Yevpatoriya, Saki and Sevastopol. Soon a fire broke out in the area of the Belbek airfield.
