Trump ‘Induced Murderous Rage’ In Insurrection Mob, Says Former Justice Official –

A former Justice Department official said Saturday that Donald Trump “caused a murderous rage” in the crowd that stormed the Capitol last year of the uprising and endangered the life of former Vice President Mike Pence .

Most are ready to “cut off Pence’s leg,” former Attorney General Harry Littman told MSNBC on Saturday. It “seems to be getting dark,” Littman added, calling it Trump “stacking.”

Litman angrily responded to a frightening video of Trump supporters on Jan. 6, 2021, saying “Pence just left,” before adding, “We’ll drag mothers ** into the streets.”

Trump already knew then that Pence had decided not to help his efforts to cancel the 2020 election, Littman said. However, Trump still stressed to his supporters before they broke up the Capitol that pressure on Pence could leave him with electoral votes.

“Trump shows up to the crowd and pretends … it all depends on the penny,” Litman said. “He knew Pence had already decided, but staying open would mean inciting murder in the crowd when they found out,” Litman added.

After Trump supporters learned that Pence would not reject the electoral vote for Joe Biden in major states, the majority “completely flared up,” he continued.

“We have testimony… that this is not a joke,” Littmann said, referring to hearings by a committee selected by the chamber investigating the disturbance. “They are ready to destroy it [Pence] From foot to foot. So Trump is dishonestly playing to lift most to the highest level of violence. “It’s really disgusting,” he added.
