The Russian enterprise OPK Novator has fulfilled 17% of the state defense order for 2024.
Russia’s defense industrial base can produce at least 100 main battle tanks per month. This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
It was noted that by March 2023, the Russian tank manufacturer Uralvagonzavod was producing 20 tanks per month.
In March 2023, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, said that the Russian defense industry could produce 1,500 main battle tanks by 2023, indicating an average production level of 125 tanks per month.
On January 30, 2024, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian enterprise OPK Novator fulfilled the state defense order for Caliber cruise missiles and Iskander ballistic missiles in 2023.
Novator CEO Farid Abdrakhmanov reported to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu that the company fulfilled the state defense order for Calibers and Iskanders in 2023, switched to round-the-clock production and created three -shift work schedule in all its factories.
According to Abdrakhmanov, Novator has fulfilled 17% of the state defense order for 2024.
Let’s remember that, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate, in January of this year, the aggressor country Russia produces more than 200 missiles of various types every month. Production has not increased recently.
