Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnieper and inflict heavy losses on the enemy.
During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out strikes on 14 areas where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced this in a report on the evening of Friday, January 29.
Units of the missile forces hit two enemy air defense systems, four artillery weapons and an electronic warfare station.
During the day, 51 clashes took place. The enemy carried out 64 air strikes and carried out 45 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. There have been civilian deaths and injuries as a result of Russian attacks. Residential buildings, schools and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

At the direction of Liman, soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled four attacks in the Serebryansky forest areas in the Lugansk region and Ternov, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break the defenses of the troops Ukrainian.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled three attacks near Ivanovo, Donetsk region, where the invaders tried unsuccessfully to improve the tactical situation.
In the Avdeevsky direction, the defenders repelled eight attacks near Novobakhmutovka, Avdeevka and five more attacks near Pervomaiskoye and Nevelskoye, Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses.
In the Maryinsky direction, the Defense Forces continue to contain the occupiers in the areas of Georgievka, Pobeda and Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk region. Here, the invaders tried unsuccessfully six times to improve the tactical situation.
In the direction of Shakhtarsky, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Zolotaya Niva, Donetsk region.
In the Zaporozhye direction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, an attack by the invaders was repulsed in the north of Priyutnoye, Zaporozhye region.
Russian troops are not abandoning their intention to expel the Ukrainian units from the bridges on the left bank of the Dnieper. Thus, during the day, seven unsuccessful attempts were made to attack the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
We remind you that in the last 24 hours, Ukrainian troops liquidated 1,070 Russian invaders. In total, since the beginning of the war, Russia has lost approximately 383,180 personnel.
