The information was launched online by blogger and former people’s deputy Bogdan Bereza, and subsequently the information was picked up by journalists Yuri Butusov and Roman Tsymbalyuk, people’s deputy Alexey Goncharenko, and dubious telegram channels close to the President’s Office – “Trukha” and “Joker”.
The resignation of Zaluzhny and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov was also allegedly reported.
Tsymbalyuk wrote that Kirill Budanov became the new commander-in-chief, and “Joker” indicated that he was the commander of the Land Forces, Alexander Syrsky.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, against the backdrop of statements about the dismissal of Zaluzhny and Umerov, which are distributed through telegram channels, published a post-refutation:
Dear journalists, we immediately answer everyone: No, this is not true.
However, it is not specified what exactly is a lie.
According to the UP, there is no decree on this yet, sources of the UP in the National Security and Defense Council, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense and the OP reported.
He (Zaluzhny – Rakurs) was summoned and offered another position, including the post of ambassador. He refused. There is no decree. But he is already packing his things,” said one of the publication’s interlocutors.
As of the time of writing the news, there was no official information about Zaluzhny’s alleged resignation on the president’s website or on the commander-in-chief’s social networks.
