The men are accused of planning an attack on a plant that makes missiles and defense equipment.

Iran on Monday, January 29, executed four men accused of planning sabotage at a defense plant and possible links to the Israeli Mossad. This was reported by ABC news.

The men were convicted of planning an attack on a factory in Isfahan that makes missiles and defense equipment. Tehran said the operation was developed by Israel’s foreign intelligence service, Mossad. Before entering Iran, the four underwent training in one of the African countries.

The men were arrested in July 2022 and sentenced to death in September 2023. Radio Liberty wrote that the four are ethnic Kurds.

Let’s remember that in December last year, a man accused of sending classified information to the Mossad was killed in Iran.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Iran was increasing the number of executions “at an alarming rate.”
