Unknown people started shooting at a church in Istanbul.

An armed incident occurred on January 28 at a Catholic church in the Sarier district. During the service, two armed masked men burst into the church and opened fire. At least one person was killed as a result of the shooting. This was announced by Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, CNN Turk reports.
Today, at about 11.40, during a service at St. Mary’s Church in the Büyükdere district of Saryer, two masked men attacked with weapons one of those present at the ritual, who, unfortunately, died, he noted.
The attackers kicked their heels from the scene. Turkish police have launched an investigation and are looking for the attackers. The motive for the attack is still unclear.
The Turkish President and Pope have already expressed condolences over the attack.
Let us recall that on January 3 in Iran, near the cemetery in the city of Kerman, where General Qassem Soleimani is buried, two explosions occurred within a few minutes of each other. At least 43 people were killed and 170 were injured.
