The White House said it has adopted a policy of supporting initiatives emanating from Ukraine.
The United States will promote Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s Peace Formula. John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications of the US National Security Council, said this in a briefing on Saturday, January 27, Voice of America reports.
So, when asked about the possibility of negotiations between Kiev and Moscow, Kirby said that the United States has adopted a policy of supporting initiatives coming from Ukraine.
“The State Department released a transcript of Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s discussion with President Vladimir Zelensky. Jake [Салливан], of course, there. However, they discussed the importance of continuing international support for Ukraine and what is happening on the battlefield, as seen by Zelensky. In Davos, Zelensky spoke about the Ukrainian Peace Formula,” the White House representative added.
Kirby also added about the need to continue financial assistance to Ukraine from the United States. He recalled that the latest aid package for Ukraine was approved on December 27.
“That’s why it’s so important for us to get additional funding… for new aid to Ukraine so we can continue this,” Kirby said, adding that the Russian Federation will obviously continue to attack civilian infrastructure and will wage war on Ukraine.
We remind you that on January 14, the fourth meeting of national security advisers and political advisers on the Ukrainian peace formula took place in Davos. Representatives of 81 countries and international organizations took part in the event. China ignored this meeting.
