US House Speaker Mike Johnson sent a letter to lawmakers saying that the agreement on funding aid to Ukraine and American border security has no chance of being supported.

The text of the letter was published on January 26 by several American publications.
Johnson wrote in a letter to colleagues that “the Senate appears unable to reach any agreement. If the rumors about the contents of the draft agreement are true, the bill will not be viable in the House of Representatives in any case.”
Johnson repeated calls for passage of House Republicans’ immigration bill, known as HR2, which would dramatically strengthen immigration policies.
“Draining Ukraine,” is what is written on the cover of the British magazine “The Week.”
The publication accuses the leadership of the Republican Party, in particular Speaker of Congress Johnson, of deliberately delaying aid to Ukraine and warming up Putin.
This probably refers to rumors that the vote on the migration crisis, to which the vote on aid to Ukraine was artificially attached, is being delayed because they want to use it in Trump’s election campaign.
According to Voice of America, Johnson accused President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas of “deliberately ignoring and actively undermining our nation’s immigration laws.”
As American publications write, the issue of immigration to the United States has become one of the main topics of the Republican Party election race, in particular in the campaign of ex-President Donald Trump.
Focusing on immigration, Trump won the New Hampshire primary after winning the Iowa caucuses, Voice of America reported.
We see this correctly. “Immigration is an important issue,” Trump said after his victory in New Hampshire. “Millions and millions of people come to our country illegally. They come from prisons and mental institutions.
Last week, in an interview with Fox News, Speaker Johnson said he discusses the agreement on security of the US southern border and funding for Ukraine and Israel “quite often” with former US President Trump.
