The domestic market for metal consumption in the Russian Federation, according to estimates from the Russian Severstal, grew by 7% during the nine months of last year – to 35.1 million tons.
We remind you that the European Steel Association (EUROFER) criticized the decision of the European Commission to extend the permission to import Russian semi-finished products to the EU as part of a new package of sanctions until 2028.
It was also reported that Ukraine produced 5.16 million tons of steel in the 10 months of 2023, which is 11.7% less than the volumes for January-October 2022.
