The Russian Federation does not abandon its intention to remove Ukrainian units from bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult. During the day, 94 clashes took place. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on January 26.
It was noted that the enemy launched eight missiles (with S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles at the civilian infrastructure of Mirnograd, Novogradovka, Donetsk region and Antonovka, Kherson region) and carried out 38 attacks from multiple launch rockets system in the positions of our troops and populated areas. There have been civilian deaths and injuries as a result of terrorist attacks in Russia. Multi-storey and private houses, schools, kindergartens, shopping centers and other civil infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
According to the General Staff, the operational situation in the directions of Volyn and Polesie has not changed significantly. There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Designated units of the Armed Forces of Belarus carry out tasks in the border areas of Ukraine.
In the directions of Seversky and Slobozhansky, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases mine density and explosive barriers on the Ukrainian state border.
More than 35 settlements came under artillery and mortar shelling, including Eline, Galaganovka, Leonovka in the Chernihiv region; Popovka, Volfino, Veselovka, Sumy region; Veterinary, Nesternoye, Komissarovo, Kharkov region.
In the direction of Kupyansk, our defenders repelled 12 attacks near Tabaevka, Kharkov region, and Stelmakhovka, Lugansk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Dvurechnaya, Sinkovka, Petropavlovka, Ivanovka, and Berestovo in the Kharkov region.
In the direction of Liman, Ukrainian soldiers repelled seven attacks in the Ternov and Torskoye areas of the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
More than 10 settlements were destroyed by enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Nevskoye, Belogorovka, Serebryansky forestry in Luhansk region and Torskoye, Serebryanka, Razdolevka in Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks near Bogdanovka, Ivanovsky, Kleshchievka and Andreevka in the Donetsk region, where the invaders tried unsuccessfully to improve the tactical situation.
About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasyukovka, Bogdanovka, Ivanovskoye, Kleshchievka, Andreevka, and New York in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdeevsky direction, our defenders repelled 19 attacks in the areas of settlements of Novobakhmutovka, Stepnoe, Avdeevka and nine more attacks near Opytny, Vodyanoye, Pervomaisky and Nevelskoye in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried unsuccessfully to breach the defenses of our troops.
About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar shelling, including Alexandropol, Novobakhmutovka, Ocheretino, Avdeevka, Pervomaiskoye, Netaylovo in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinsky direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold the Russians near Georgievka, Pobeda and Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk region. Here, the invaders unsuccessfully tried 14 times to improve the tactical situation.
Krasnogorovka, Maryinka, Pobeda, Novomikhailovka, Ekaterinivka, Elizavetovka were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the direction of Shakhtarsky, our defenders repelled an enemy attack near Zolotaya Niva, Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar shelling, including Vodyanoye, Ugledar, Prechistovka, Zolotaya Niva, Blagodatnoye, Urozhaynoye in the Donetsk region.
In the direction of Zaporozhye, Ukrainian defenders repulsed five Russian attacks north of Priyutnoye, south of Krasnoye and west of Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye region.
More than 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar shelling, including Charivnoye, Malye Shcherbaki, Stepnoye, Lobkovoe, Pyatikhatki, Stepnogorsk, Plavni in the Zaporozhye region.
In the area of responsibility of OSGV Odessa in the Kherson direction, Kherson, Nikolaevka, Tyaginka, Novotyaginka, Antonovka of the Kherson region and Solonchaki of the Nikolaev region were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.
The invaders also fired multiple rocket launch systems in the areas of Ivanovka, Tokarevka, and Tomina Balka settlements in the Kherson region.
