Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal said that more than 43 billion UAH were additionally received for the production of drones. UAH 9.6 billion will also be transferred. defense forces for the purchase of weapons, equipment and protective equipment.
The head of government noted that a record 17.5 billion UAH were recently allocated for the construction of fortifications and 792 million UAH were allocated for the urgent needs of military units.
At the same time, he recalled that in the fall of 2023, the executive and legislative authorities decided to redirect personal income tax funds paid by the military from community budgets to a special fund of the state budget.
For 2024, we received additional resources – plus UAH 51 billion. for the development of the military-industrial complex and more than 43 billion UAH. “for the production of drones,” said Shmigal.
At the same time, it was decided that 10% of the military personal income tax would be sent directly to military units.
Therefore, today we are transferring 9.6 billion UAH of military personal income tax to the defense forces for the purchase of weapons, equipment, ammunition, and protective equipment,” the Prime Minister said.
At the same time, he added that in 2023, Ukrainian communities received UAH 43.8 billion more in their budgets than the year before.
Changes to the Budget Code provide for the redirection of personal income tax from the income of military personnel (UAH 96.3 billion) in 2024 to a special fund of the state budget.
