“The SARS-CoV-2 virus constantly mutates and evades the immune response – that is, it affects the weakened immunity; even those who were vaccinated earlier can get sick, but the acquired immunity in the disease after vaccination reduces the risks of complications during the illness. Therefore, for those people who have not completed the course of vaccination against COVID – 19, and those who are at risk of serious illness need to consult to a family doctor and get vaccinated,” said Deputy Minister, Chief State Sanitary Doctor Igor Kuzin.
Of those mentioned above, only one person had two vaccinations against COVID-19.
“Based on the clinical symptoms, the doctors recorded a moderate or mild course of the disease; only one person was hospitalized. The age of the patients was 27-73 years. Regarding JN.1, the WHO said that the risk to the population is low, and the vaccines used in the world against COVID-19 are protected from a new subvariant,” the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
It was previously reported that after school holidays in Kyiv, the incidence of coronavirus among children increased by 50%. The holidays are over, children are back at school, and an exchange of infections has occurred, explained the director of the Department of Health of the Kyiv City State Administration.
We remind you that in December of last year, 10 thousand deaths from the coronavirus were recorded in the world.
