Polls show him leading in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary.
Trump’s chances for the nomination increased in New Hampshire and overall after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Sunday he was quitting the campaign.
A new CNN poll released on Sunday, January 21, found that Trump could win 50% of the potential vote in New Hampshire, easily surpassing the 39% of Nikki Gailey, who previously served as US ambassador to the UN in the Joe Biden administration, and 6 % Desantis.
Desantis supported Donald Trump after his withdrawal. Thus, the only opponent of Trump for the right to run from the Republican Party remains the former governor of South Carolina and US Representative to the UN Nikki Gailey.
Joe Biden will represent the Democratic Party in the 2024 elections.
