The Chechen leader’s plans were disrupted by a drone spotted near his and his son’s location.
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov arrives in Russian-occupied Mariupol. Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol Pyotr Andryushchenko announced this on Monday, January 22, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, Kadyrov came to the destroyed city to “push” his son Adam to the position of “mayor” of Mariupol.
“More precisely, for the head of the administration, who was appointed by Pushilin. In the first half of the day, he should hold a meeting with the administration of the city occupation on Gromovaya Street, and then pose beautifully in the Philharmonic, if where, in fact, he should say, “don-don,” the son should be in charge of it,” Andryushchenko wrote.
However, after the meeting, Kadyrov’s security guards noticed an unmanned aerial vehicle 300 meters from the administration building. Kadyrov and his son were evacuated from the city. It later emerged that the drone had been flown into the air to film a football game.
Ramzan Kadyrov’s eldest son, 18-year-old Akhmat, became Chechnya’s first deputy minister for physical education and sports.
