Sergei Lavrov last visited New York in September 2023 to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
The board of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov covered the distance from Moscow to the United States, where he will take part in the meetings of the UN Security Council, along the northern route, flying over unfriendly countries within of 12 hours 45 minutes. The Russian propaganda agency TASS reported this on Monday, January 22.
There were no unexpected incidents during the flight.
It is known that Lavrov will take part in the meetings of the UN Security Council on the Middle East and Ukraine in New York.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reported that Lavrov will visit New York from January 22 to 24 to personally participate in UN Security Council debates. A number of bilateral meetings are also expected.
As Russian propagandists point out, Lavrov’s group of journalists received category I visas to the United States with the right to one-time entry – non-immigrant visas for foreign journalists and media workers.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, at a press conference in the capital of North Macedonia, Skopje, spoke about “press freedom” in Russia and indicated that there is now no reason for the existence of the OSCE.
