Ukraine returned five more people in a prisoner exchange with Russia on Saturday, June 18. This is stated in the message of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, published in the Telegram.
“Today, the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War conducted another exchange according to the 5 for 5 formula. Five citizens of Ukraine went home. All those released were civilians illegally held by the occupiers. forces, “the report said.
It was noted that four civilians were captured by the occupiers during the fighting in the Kyiv region. Three of them – during the conquest of Gostomel.
We were also able to return the corpse of a deceased Ukrainian defender.
Recall that Volodymyr Zelensky previously announced the release from Russian captivity of Ukrainian military medic Yulia Paevskaya, known under the call sign “Taira”, captured by the Russian military in Mariupol in mid -March.
