Volodymyr Zelenskyy was awarded Ukraine’s best defender during his visit to the Mykolaiv region.
On Saturday, June 18, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the Mykolaiv region on a working visit. He met with the regional leadership, gave awards to them, to the military and police. The president posted the video on social media.
The guarantor visited Ukrainian military positions on the front line. There he presented them with the awards, and they, in turn, gave the president an unexpected gift – a cup.
“The advanced positions of the Ukrainian troops of the Nikolaev region. Our heroes. Each of them gives everything he can. He does everything to protect the state. In their eyes, there is confidence and faith in Ukraine. We will definitely stand! And we will definitely win! ” Zelensky wrote on Facebook.
Zelensky also presented state awards to representatives of local authorities – the order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the 3rd degree was awarded to the head of the Nikolaev OVA Vitaliy Kim, the Order of Courage of the 3rd degree – the Nikolaev mayor Alexander Senkevich, and the rank of brigadier general was awarded to Colonel Andriy Gnatov.
Recall that on June 13, Russian troops conducted two helicopter attacks with pairs of Mi-8s on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Nikolaev and Kherson regions.
