This was announced by the head of the Center for Military Legal Research, Alexander Musienko.
The blackout arose due to an oversaturation of air defense systems. (…) All radars are powered from the network, and this all led to a certain collapse. And these are the consequences of militarization and what Russia brought there,” Musienko said during a telethon on January 20.
According to the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky, the occupiers transferred entire units from the north and Far East to Crimea.
And the speaker of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, noted that the recent successful UAV attacks became possible, in particular, due to the fact that Russia “exposed” the regions to create a powerful air defense system on the occupied peninsula.
On January 18, light disappeared in temporarily occupied Crimea. Sevastopol, Kerch, Simferopol, Feodosia, Dzhankoy and Saki were completely de-energized for 3-4 hours. There was traffic chaos on the city streets due to the traffic lights and lights being turned off.
The so-called “head” of Sevastopol said that the reason for the blackout was a “false activation of gas equipment at the Balaklava thermal power plant,” which led to the automatic shutdown of two power units.
