The Russian Ministry of Defense reported repelling the drone attack, but, as seen in the video, the explosions occurred on the ground and not in the air.
On the night of Saturday, January 20, a series of loud explosions thundered near the Russian Tula, and a red glow appeared in the sky. This was reported by local public pages that published eyewitness photos.
It is known that the explosion was heard by the residents of the surrounding villages.
“Krivoluchye. An explosion was also heard. Proletarsky district. The sky was just filled with orange-red light (like a flash, only slowly and very bright), and then there was an explosion,” the testimony of local resident suggests.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that they allegedly repelled the drone attack.
“The air defense system repelled a UAV attack in the Tula region. Preliminarily, no one was damaged or killed,” the message said.
But, judging by eyewitness videos, the explosions took place on the ground, not in the air.
That same night, explosions were heard in the Oryol and Smolensk regions of Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the alleged destruction of drone-type aircraft.
We remind you that the last UAV attack on Tula was on November 26. Then the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that it allegedly shot down four more drones on the territory of Bryansk, Smolensk and Tula regions. The total number of “downed” drones reached 24. Also during that attack, the UAV hit a tall building.
