It is clear that Putin has not given up on the idea of taking all of Ukraine and continues to throw all his resources to the front. But this does not mean that the Kremlin’s plans will come true.
The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security (CSK) is urging people not to panic over reports in foreign media about a “major offensive” that Russia is allegedly preparing. This was stated in a message from the Center on Facebook.
“The media is writing about Russia’s plans for a new” major offensive. But there’s no need to panic because of these articles, and here’s why,” the message said.
It was noted that the Financial Times published material that the Russian army may be planning a large-scale offensive in Ukraine this summer. The goal is the complete capture of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
“A separate highlight is the part of the article that says the Kremlin does not rule out another attempt to occupy Kharkov or Kiev. It looks, of course, scary and panics. But in essence, the journalists said nothing new . Obviously, Putin has not abandoned the idea of capturing all of Ukraine and continues to throw all available resources to the front,” the Center for Strategic Communications emphasized.
But, as mentioned, this does not mean that the Kremlin’s plans will come true.
“After all, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold the defense, and Kiev is reliably protected. The invaders did not reach the capital at the beginning of 2022, when the Ukrainian army was weak and poorly armed, so now they can’t come. You can do it, even more. Instead of panicking and overthinking, help the Defense Forces: donate, volunteer, spread important and verified information, ” said the center.
Let’s recall that the day before the British newspaper Financial Times, citing sources, reported that Russia may be planning a major frontal offensive in Ukraine in the summer of 2024.
Also this week, Putin threatened an “irreversible blow” for Ukraine. He made it clear that the longer the war goes on, the less territory the Ukrainian authorities will be able to control.
