The common work for our countries is the preparation for the Global Peace Summit, said the president.
The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, spoke with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama. The Ukrainian leader announced this on Telegram on Friday, January 19.
“We discussed ways to deepen the Ukraine-Balkans dialogue and continue defense cooperation. I noted the importance of continuing and expanding programs for the training of Ukrainian military personnel with the participation of Albania,” wrote of the president.
Vladimir Zelensky thanked Edi Rame for Albania’s clear position regarding Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, support for our state in the UN Security Council, as well as defense and political support.
“Albania’s representative took part in the fourth meeting of advisers in Davos. Now our common task is to prepare for the Global Peace Summit. We count on the active support of our partners, especially Albania,” added of the president.
Earlier, the media reported that Albania transferred 22 M1224 MaxxPro armored personnel carriers to Ukraine, as well as 82-mm ammunition for mortars.
