This was stated by Communications Advisor of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) Tatyana Sapyan on the telethon.
If you know his whereabouts, contact law enforcement. “He did not officially cross the border,” Sapyan said.
Roman and Igor Grinkevich are suspects in the Ministry of Defense procurement case.
The attention of law enforcement is focused on Lviv businessman Igor Grinkevich, who offered one of the heads of the investigative department of the State Bureau of Investigation half a million dollars in bribe.
Since that moment, he has been in a pre-trial detention center and has already received additional suspicions – of fraud and participation in a criminal organization – these are quite strict articles. Such suspicions were received by four more people involved in this transaction concerning the purchase of clothing and linen for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The group was created, as investigators established, to embezzle budget money that was allocated for the purchase of linen for the military. The enterprises controlled by the businessman, which were engaged in construction in peacetime, did not have any ability to produce and store things for the needs of the Ministry of Defense.
Investigators will also find out how these enterprises managed to obtain supply contracts to the Ministry of Defense in the amount of UAH 1.5 billion and who in the defense department is also involved in such fraud. The DBR is checking everyone in the Ministry of Defense who was or could be involved in these transactions, in particular, the employees of the Ministry of Defense who placed orders with these companies and who, as a result, accepted the final version of this order when the clothes and linen arrived at the warehouses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, during the pre-trial investigation, it becomes clear how construction companies could win the tender.
Sapyan noted that according to the announced suspicions and the charges that will be brought on their basis, the perpetrators could be imprisoned for more than 10 years.
