National Police investigators are looking for victims of a large-scale fraudulent scheme disguised as a crypto-investment project. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine today, January 18.
Under the guise of international investment fund S-Group, scammers offered citizens passive income by investing in cryptocurrency.
“Law enforcement officials found out: to hide the further movement of assets, scammers used fictitious tokens that are not on the list of official international platforms of cryptographic data providers due to the impossibility of S-Group to pass an audit. They are promised to investors as profits from investment in projects, trading in the international currency of the Forex market or other transactions with financial assets. In addition, guaranteed of scammers their clients a significant bonus in the case of attracting new participants to the project,” the report said.
The investigators discovered that the citizens of Ukraine were involved in the organization of the financial pyramid, but the activities of the scammers also took place on the territory of the Russian Federation, temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as EU countries. Fraudsters have deceived thousands of people from these countries, including citizens of Ukraine. The damage amounts to tens of millions of hryvnias.
The National Police of Ukraine asks citizens who have become victims of this fraudulent scheme to report it to the mobile phone number (095) 695 53 19 or call 102.

It was also reported that a fraudulent call center with millions in revenue was exposed in Odessa.
