In the last 24 hours, 98 military clashes took place on the front. In total, the enemy launched four missiles and 29 air strikes, and carried out 49 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and populated areas. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its morning report on January 17.

In the direction of Liman, our defenders repelled 11 Russian attacks in Ternov, Yampolevka, Torskoye areas, Donetsk region, and another 17 attacks near Makeevka, Belogorovka, Serebryansky forestry, Luhansk region and north of Grigorovka, Vesely, Donetsk region.
In the direction of Bakhmut, our soldiers repelled 9 attacks of invaders near Ivanovsky, Klishchievka and Andreevka in the Donetsk region.
In the direction of Avdeevka, the Ukrainian defenders continued to hold back the enemy, not abandoning attempts to surround Avdeevka. Our warriors firmly held the defense, inflicting heavy losses on the invaders.
In the past 24 hours, the defense forces repelled 20 Russian attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutovka, Stepnoy, Avdeevka and another 15 attacks near Pervomaisky and Nevelsky, Donetsk region.
In the Maryinsky direction, our defenders continued to hold back the Russians near Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Maryinka and Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk region, where 17 attacks were repelled.
At the direction of Shakhtarsky, the conquerors did not take offensive actions (attacks).
In the direction of Zaporozhye, the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack west of Verbovoye, Zaporozhye region.
In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces are continuing steps to expand the bridgehead. Despite heavy losses, the enemy does not abandon attempts to dislodge our units from their positions. In the last 24 hours, the enemy has made six unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our troops.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to actively inflict losses on the occupying forces in manpower and equipment, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.
In the past 24 hours, Defense Forces aircraft have carried out strikes on areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment are concentrated. Also, an X-59 guided aircraft missile was destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces and means.
