This was reported on January 16 by the state news agency Tasnim.
The attack targeted an area in Pakistan’s Balochistan province where Jaysh al-Adl had one of its largest headquarters. Both headquarters, as Tasnim writes, were destroyed. Other details of the attack are not provided.
As The Washington Post notes, Jaysh al-Adl (Justice Army) is a Sunni militant group. Tehran considers Jaish al-Adl a terrorist organization. In December, the group claimed responsibility for an attack on a police station in Sistan and Baluchistan in which at least 11 police officers were killed.
The night before, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched strikes in Iraqi Kurdistan near the city of Erbil. The targets of the strikes, as stated by the IRGC, were “spy centers” and “places where anti-Iranian terrorist groups gather.”
