Three Israeli combat divisions remain in Gaza, as do special forces units.
The IDF withdrew one of its four divisions stationed there from the Gaza Strip. This was reported on Monday, January 15, by The Times of Israel, citing a statement by the Israel Defense Forces.
The IDF explained that it withdrew these forces from the Gaza Strip for a “period of retraining and training.”
The military noted that three combat divisions remain in Gaza, as well as special forces units.
The division’s units will receive a short break, then return for a period of preparation, after which the IDF will decide whether and where to redeploy them, according to the latest assessments.
Let’s remember that on Monday, the Minister of Defense of Israel, Yoav Gallant, said that Israel plans to complete as soon as possible the intensive phase of the offensive in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
