The leaders of some companies are already thinking about their personal protection to protect their facilities, the representative of the Armed Forces said.
Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force Speaker Yuriy Ignat suggested that local communities purchase electronic warfare (EW) equipment for protection against enemy missiles and drones from civilian manufacturers. He said this in a telethon on Sunday, January 14.
“This is common practice (resisting enemy air attacks using electronic warfare methods – ed.). We have enterprises that have been doing this for a long time. Now many civilian enterprises are involved in the production of electronic warfare systems,” Ignat said.
According to the spokesperson of the Air Force, active work is currently underway in this direction.
“And this is something that local communities can buy, attract resources. You can’t buy weapons – small arms, guns, and air defense, but electronic warfare systems, including civilian manufacturers, if they work, they need to check – it helps save lives “And electronic warfare operates from drones, and can influence the enemy’s air attack methods. The missile can be withdrawn before reaching its target,” Ignat said.
He added, now the leaders of some companies are thinking about their personal protection to protect their facilities. “It’s being done… It’s the future. There’s no need to waste expensive missiles if you can stop the enemy this way,” an Air Force spokesman said.
We remind you that on the night of January 13, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces used electronic warfare against Russian missiles. More than 20 did not achieve their goals due to active countermeasures using electronic warfare.
On January 8, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the Russian Tirada-2 orbital satellite suppression complex in the direction of Donetsk.
