Negotiations began on Sunday, January 14. Delegations from the two countries met on the sidelines of the fourth meeting of national security advisers and political advisers to state leaders on the implementation of the Peace Formula in Davos, Switzerland. The World Economic Forum is currently taking place there. This was reported in the office of the President of Ukraine.
Representatives of Kyiv and Bucharest discussed the main elements of the future agreement and agreed on the issues of conducting negotiations. Bankova noted that President Vladimir Zelensky instructed to work on a general agreement within the framework of the G7 Joint Declaration on support for Ukraine. They marked the elevation of bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership.
Romania became the ninth country to begin bilateral security negotiations with Ukraine.
Let us recall that on January 13, the United States of America began a conversation with the Ukrainian government regarding bilateral security guarantees. And on January 12, President Vladimir Zelensky and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed an agreement on security guarantees that will remain in force until Ukraine joins NATO.
